Re: FS: Mrcrouse's Completely Custom Hosts - Fresh off the Lathe

Favorite are the zaser and stacker, least is the probe.

Any prototypes of a 10440 host?

Expect at least a month til I really start working on that. I'll need to source switches and work on a design. Right now I'm at college, and getting near the end of this term, so I have more school work to do.

I like the probe until you get to the back.

I think so. I just don't like smooth and knurled in one host. Too much contrast. I like how it resembles a sonic screwdriver in design.

We can turn the knurling off. I agree as well, I think it would look better without the knurling.

Can you do heat sink area/piece in pure copper?
If so, what approximation of added cost for groovy and zazer?

Yes, but for just one, you are looking at about a $50 increase as we do not currently stock copper.

All of them are great looking hosts, without a doubt:)

Personally I prefer clean & simple design, groovy host is my favorite no. 1 among the posted ones. Just curious here, what are the dimensions & estimated weight of this particular host?

A 2x18650 custom polished host with some 445-450nm power in my collection might be a nice addition...

Wow, Mike! I mean....WOW!

These are beautiful hosts! I'd love the opportunity to build with one.

As I am saving my shekels for a new car, I can't have one of my own, for now.

But, if anyone wants one of these, built by me, I'm happy to oblige!

Oh, I need a car quickly!! There's too many new goodies that I have to pass on!!

Yep, the Probe V2 looks much better, minus the knurling!

Can't wait to see some of the pen style designs. :D

The Zaser is still #1 IMO though.

The Groovy Host is 1.25" x 9.5" and 11.6 oz.

Making 1x18650 hosts for most of these will cost the same as the 2x18650 host, or maybe $5 less. The material isn't very expensive, and most the time on the battery tubes is spent threading them. I'd say $95 shipped for it?
