Milos, I got the violet laser yesterday.  This unit is great! By my eye it is a close match for dot brightness with my blue laser.  The eye is only about 20% as sensitive to 405 nm as 473 nm, so it seems to me, the output would  be ~30 mW.  Thanks for the great laser and the thoughtful gifts too!  -Glenn

Hey Milos and other Milos laser owners, I found leather eyeglass cases that fit this laser perfectly! (At Target they were $1) Now the cool laser goes in the pocket in a leather covered case that fits like a glove! Ya gotta love this great violet laser! Hey Milos want a case? All The Best! -Glenn ;D

You are one fast fellow! My unit arrived today. What a cool looking laser, very professionally done! Now I just have to find one of those eyeglass cases that Glenn was talking about.

I am very excited. I have a gem show this weekend. I leave in the morning. I thought that I wouldn't get to play with this until next week. You are a god!! I get to shine it at a wide variety of minerals this weekend and to amaze my friends Thanks for getting right on this.

I did turn it on though I did a quick visual comparison with my blu-ray pen. I have no way to measure power yet, but I can tell you what I see. One thing I can see is diffusion. The dot from your unit is MUCH better and cleaner than the dot from the pen. The dot from the pen is elongated and "fuzzy" at 25' Fuzzy could be what distance it is focussed for. The elongation must be caused by some other challenge with the unit. Now I have to wait for the unit from BlueFusion to get here. Then we can have a real, wild west type, showdown LOL!
