Miloš BLU-RAY 405nm lasers –BATCH #3  - SOLD

Hi everyone,
In spite of all the recent findings, I will freeze my little production for some time until I receive new power meter from Kenom, and have truer readings than with my “hard to satisfy” Lasercheck that have been reading all my 405nm laser about 10-12mW lower than they really are. Read details on final verdict here. http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1205209155
I am also in process redesigning product, as well as getting FDA license.

Of course, I will not be tuning down my lasers to match my power meter in the future. I intend to continue that same process of hand picking only best diodes for sale, as well as possible increase in my current standard for even safer and longer run time. I will also step into higher powered diodes. As all my lasers are actually in 20+ milliwatt range, slight price increase can be expected in batch#4.

This last batch #3 (whatever is left of it ) is now up for grabs at old prices. I don’t want to change any prices now as I still have no other meter but my “though judge lasercheck” , so I will list old prices, with my power ratings (not in milliwatts – but just digits) and educated guess of true power output based on 3 other meters that were consistent against two of my lasers.

You can learn more about this laser here: http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1203200842/0#0
Here is price list of what I have now:

~28mW - 42mA (my meter <16.5) --SOLD !
~27mW - 42mA (my meter <15.5) -- SOLD !
~24mW - 41mA (my meter <13.5) -- SOLD !
~22mW - 41mA (my meter <12) .--SOLD!

Free shipping within Continental USA
Shipping world wide $20

There is also one more on eBay auction that ends this weekend. It measures 9.3 on my meter.

cheers everyone.

That's a really awesome picture. I'm definitely gonna have to buy one of these.

Diodes are from ps3 module. I put in only selected best. Current supplied 38mA-42mA max.

all the other stuff?? !!
what manners have you.. :p

naah, right now no. I did this once only out of my last batch. Maybe when I get next order of diodes.

is it just me or the unit furthest to the right seems a little brighter than the rest?
im getting closer and closer to ordering one of these :)

Oh Yeah!  The top one FS!  btw, darklanz, it has the top output, but only by 1 mW so get the next one in output power!

No one gets one on the top. Its my test bed unit where I experiment and test different diodes and electrical components. Its my "FRANKENSTEIN" and is currently outputting 40-60mW at 95mA. Life expectency- short! (unless you really really really want it :))

Below unites are good units and for sale. Power is not to be judge by look of the beam. Picture just happened to come out like this. Difference in beam visibility is not that drastic between them.

Only TWO left (check above) I got some more NYC cubes too, but will include them only per buyers request, or through ebay auction win.

Remember, these are quite a bit more than 15mW ! and with adjustable output.

cheers

How long you figure the diode will live above 15mW? ;)

And why would you choose to call 15mW a safe limit all of a sudden? Are you saying that 5mW at 40mA is safer than 15mW at 40mA? I don't thinks so. On contrary! In that case 5mW is less efficient diode and will be a lot warmer than the 15mW and will have shorter life. I have one example from PS3 diode running at well over 30mW from the same batch for weeks already and no overheating. I'm not saying thats normal, of course, just giving example of how different these PS3 diodes are from one to another. Some of them can output a lot more than 5-10mW and last looong time, while at same current leve others cant even do 5-8mW and overheat and die soon. That is because they are inefficient. .

Jake21,

Do you mind telling us exactly how much current slipped in to that poor 15mW laser? Statement like that is useless in this thread, and tells basically that you killed your diode. Thats not a good example.
