Low power red

I am working on a spiro and need a red diode, but I want to use a relatively low power one to avoid causing any kind of eye damage to people. I know we usually push LOCs and LCC up to 300 mw, but is there any diode that is cheap and around 5-30 mw? I suppose I could go with a driver and a standard high power diode, but I would like to see if I can save some money.

If I were you, I'd either go w/ kendall's Sure Electronics module or like Dr. Laser said, the 635nm 5mW diode. The reason the 635nm diode is more expensive (even though it's without a circuit driver or a aixiz/sure module), is because it is 635nm rather than typical 650/660nm red. The difference is that 635nm is closer to the middle of our visible spectrum. Thus, it appears brighter to the eye and will also have a slightly different color. It will appear SLIGHTLY more orange than red. To some, it looks just like red, but to me it def. looks more orange. Here is a 1 sec exposure pic I took of them both (left is 5mW 635nm, right is an at LEAST 50mW typical red - LOC but run at an unknown current, cannot light match, but can pop balloons and burn electrical tape).
