I'm not a kid, I have raised several though, and I have lots of time on my hands from time to time LOL... the long and short of it is I have had dealings with DAoO and I must say he IS a stand up guy and if any one here needs a laser built and don't use him then it's there loss...

Still waiting for that deagle, damn slow USPS

In my experience it should have reached my local post office or be with customs now. Customs have not phoned me which they have always done when in doubt about the contents of packages I have received.
Once they called saying they found cylinders filled with a suspicious looking gray substance and the word "thermal" on them and wanted to know if I was making a bomb :crackup:
When I told them it was simply thermal paste for heatsink connections in a computer they were really embarrassed.

The fact that they have not called suggests that it has gotten through safely, as it should since it is fully legal.

As promised there will be nice pictures and a video of my first shots with it.

Would you be able to build a ~1W IR, using heruursciences diodes + a kryton beast + a DX flashlight driver?

Btw, he is building me a bluray right now, and I recommend him; superb customer service, very easy to deal with.

Well grix, we would have to do a little research on the best driver to use, but yes, i would be able to build you that.

I'm SO glad everyone is happy with this service. it brings me much joy, And Queen... your gunna be burning up a storm, and makin all kinds of stuff glow! you can even turn off street lights if you shine it at the photosensor at night time... THAT really gets peoples attention... a blue beam of mysterious light...turning things off... lol!

I dont think street lanterns work that way here. I tried to turn them off with a 50mw greenie but no luck. Or where do i need to shine? The top of the lantern? Or....

You need hit the sensor on the street light it is most lilely on top. Other users have reported better results hitting it when facing North or East. I guess it depends on where you live, so try all around the sensor.

Try to go out and look in daylight, there should be a small black hole/box/screen on the side where the sun sets in the evening.
Sometimes however, such as where I live, the whole system is controlled by a central system and the lamp posts themselves do not have sensors.

You can also kick them to make them power off for a couple of minutes (a security measure to make sure that people in a car which hits a lamp post are not electrocuted)
However I would not advice this. You may easily be arrested, and if you break the light completely the fines are massive. I only know about this feature because one of my drunk friends ran around and kicked them 2 years ago and they stayed off for 2 minutes exactly. Of course moments later a patrol car rolled up and my friend only barely managed to talk himself out of arrest. What an idiot.

i have a few things on hand, what are you needing? and i fixed my sig, but my wife is yelling at me to get to bed... it is late here, so i must retire for the night. its been a looooong day. i think i've been on LPF like... ALL day... lol, gotta do what you gotta do though. everythings ordered, and more slots are open for builds.

i've got everyone listed in post 1 to keep things organized. let me kow if you see an error by some chance. thx guys, tty all tommarow

one more thing... Jaseth, when we say "Deagle" i cant help but think of Stripe from GREMLLINS saying "deagle deagle deeeaaagllllllleeeeee!!" lol!

does anyone know what im talking about? if not watch gremlins 1 or 2, i cant remember wich, i think its the part right before they go into the old ladies house and launch her up the stairs on her electric stair climber lol.

Im still trying to get parts for my 8x , all i have is the diode, Mohrenberg's host, an aixiz module. i need a Flex drive set to 380ma . and the building of it of course..

In that hot a 14500 batt should work.
