I'm really impressed - it sold for the $160 buy it now. Payment arrive almost immediately. I almost feel bad. That money really should be going into the pockets of MarioMaster, etc.

We're contemplating that.

Great to see how much people want the alpha, the speed that it sells even second hand is pretty amazing.

We do have more on the way guys, we hired another person to assemble meters full time, so you can expect us to have more consistent stock within a week-week and a half.

Cheers,
Brad

If I was you - I'd do two things:

1) Find a cheap 9V AC adapter, wire it to a 9V battery clip, cut a small groove into the edge of the Alpha's battery door, and include it with the unit.

2) Raise the price to $125 or $150

Can't argue with that....

You can find cheap 9volts AC adapters and a 9volt battery
clip and it would only increase the cost by about $4.00...
So that would make it $99.95 + ~$4.00 = ~ $103.95...
Where would the other $21- $46 go.....

It would go to their bottom-line for the R&D + time they've invested in creating this product.

The market is screaming out them "YOUR PRICE ISN'T AT THE EQUILIBRIUM OF SUPPLY AND DEMAND!!!"

They sold out in like 17 minutes at the price point of $100. It needs to be higher, clearly. I put mine on eBay, with an opening bid of $100, and a BIN of $160, and it sold in like a few hours at $160. The market is telling them to charge more.

One or two items selling on E-Bay is not the Market SCREAMING OUT...

Well I honestly hope their price goes up.....

I'm not making enough money to cover R&D at $119.99 for
a full featured 2.5W LPM...:undecided:

Didn't you just sell your Alpha to buy an LPM with better
features at a similar price....

Well it's not the market screaming, it does tell us that some buyers looking at the LPM offerings on eBay are willing to pay a premium for the Radiant Electronics Alpha LPM when comparing side-by-side to other similarly priced LPM's on eBay.

i mildly disagree. if you are making money then who cares what others are doing. it's not right to rise a price just because you can.

this is LPF not OPEC.

Well it's not the market screaming

When you sell out of 6 units, in 30 minutes, at 4 in the morning, on a weekday - that's the market screaming ;)
(at least, for a product of this scale - it's not the iPad)
