Well I’m pretty well known on the other forum. I’ve been a member here since 2012 and well I’ve not really been active over here. I decided to come by and see the place and find I really like what I see. So hello here I am.

My interest is in lumia at the moment and spectroscopy which is how I came over to lpf. I also have been looking at the yellow lasers and find soooo much new info on the new diodes. Lots of good research over here.

Welcome back to the LPF. There are threads on all manner of lasers and spectrometer threads as well. I have done a lot of work measuring the new Sharp diodes for wavelength. We do have a very good community over here. Hope you are able to find what you are looking for.

Thanks much. I’m looking at the ocean optics units. I think the ocean hr4000 nir would complement the bw tek units well.
For my display lasers I’m thinking mixing in the yellow and would make most excellent white.

The Ocean Optics HR4000 is a nice spectrometer. Get one with a grating with 800 l/mm. That is just about prefect for that unit to get very good resolution from 350nm to 1100nm. Ocean Optics has very good software for their spectrometers, too. I am a fan.
