Your favourite blue?

What is your favourite blue colour? Having just built a pl450b I like it a lot better than the violet 405nm. As soon as something above 450nm becomes affordable(463nm, 473nm, 488nm) I'm going to build one.

I like teh standard 445's deep blue. Its almost violet and it packs nice power.

seems like some color spectrum charts list 405 as blue and some as violet so I lumped it into the blue category.

Yeah the second a NDS4216 hits $200-300 or less im buying one that's for sure(488nm)

480nm. I had one of those 473nm sample diodes that dual lined at 476nm and 480nm, and the color was breathtaking.

I love my 469nm Laser. It is just a jaw dropping color everytime I turn it on. To someone who has owned a 473, having a 2W laser of very nearly that power is breathtaking.

and i asume there are no 463nm, 473nm, 488nm or whatever of that real blue anything you can buy under 200$ now? it will probably a be a few years before prices drop i bet..

463 is around 200 now but not far enough from 450 imo ill wait for the prices on the 488 nichias to drop, I got some time to kill I think though.

Im going to look into 473 prices now actually that's a good idea.

While 473nm is often considered to be "true blue" I still like 488nm the best. Honestly it could go either way.

Yes 445 is a nice color still nothing wrong with that at all.

While I like both 473 and 488, they do not look like true blue to me.

405 - if scattered from metal - mystic color
450 - solid
473 and 488 mixture of blue and green, give a cool feeling.

I find 445nm to much towards the violet end of the spectrum.

I'm itching to get a 462

I really cannot say enough good things about my 469nm. When I turn on a 445 I enjoy it, but when I turn on my 469, I just sigh contentedly.
