If you are curious to know how powerful your lasers are or about the efficiency of your diodes in general then do yourself a HUGE favor and buy a new LaserBee from Jerry.

The LaserBee is so easy to use that even I can do it. :) All you have to do is power it with 9V and adjust your lasers focus so that all of the beam fits onto the thermopile sensor. A beam diameter of between 3/16" to 1/4" seems about right. DO NOT FOCUS IT TO BURN!!! It will damage the coating and then you will need to send it back for repair. (You do not want to have to send it in for resurfacing and recalibration...it gets expensive. Just ask *Jake. )

The LaserBee is very well made, it is easy to assemble, even easier to use and virtually *idiot proof. It is available with data logging and can be hooked to your computer with the supplied cable and software.

If you are serious about lasers you absolutely need this invaluable tool.

Jerry also has the best customer service of anyone I have ever done business with. He is beyond helpful and will definitely treat you right.
