ok i have decided on the
HighTechDealZ - 445nm 1W (1000mW) Blue Brand New Laser Diode in Aixiz Module

and have some questions about drivers. i want to go down the battery powered hand held root for my 1st laser. so basically what type of driver would be best and how much resistance should i have.

the requirements (i use this turn loosely)
-as small as possible
-i want to make it DIY
-run off two TrustFire 14500
-i dont want to max the laser out, rather opting for longer life

im thinking of putting it all in a ipod mini but nothing is set in stone.
well any help is much appreciated thx in advance.

Welcome to the Forum...

Just a heads up.... Reading really gets you a lot of
free information here...

Maybe reading in the Drivers, Test-load, Power Supply, & Batteries
section would help...

Don't forget to read the Newcomers section.... the FAQs....
the Stickies and the Forum Rules....

The 445 can be a bit hot for a first build, why not try a PHR(violet) or an LPC(red)for your first
build, the diodes are loads cheaper and will help you get some experience before trying a 445.
