XBOX-360 HD-DVD Player Laser?

Hey guys. I'm new here so excuse any newbishness.
I'm planning on making a laser out of my XBOX HD-DVD player. It works fine.
Is this the right kit that I should be getting?

I'm planning on taking the diode out of the player and hooking it up to that thing with the AR lens. Will it work?

And if so, what voltage/current to I put into the circuit? There is no pot... Or maybe I'm missing something. I have a working PC PSU that i could use to power it.

the ebay listing is a complete kit minus the laser. the driver looks like a boost driver so i assume you will need between 3-5vdc. but you will need a digital multimeter and a dummy load to be able to set the current.
