I am looking to buy your un-needed LED emitters that you have kicking around without a home! It doesnt really matter what flashlight they came from, but the catch is they all have to be the same. Im sure some of you who build pointers must have a pile of LED emitters somewhere!! If you have groups of like emitters i will consider those too, just et me know what you have and ill figure out if i can use it :)

I am looking for any white emitters in the 1-3+ watt range. Cree emitters or similar would work great. I am also looking for high intensity blue and purple(UltraViolet) emitters as well.

I only need around 50-60 of them but i am willing to buy up to 100+ if you have them and the price is right! Please let me know how many you have available and which flashlight they were extracted from (or the make/model of the emitter) so that i can research the emitter specs online (the kelvin rating is impornant to me). I am trying to make a light for my fishtank; any help is appreciated!! :D

The Led's are to light my fish tank... I am going to make a prototype for my 10 gallon tank and then if it is satisfactory i want enough LEDs to make one for my 75 gallon tank! I will need to do testing for lux ratings and PAR values at deifferent depths trhough out the tank, and these white LEDS will be supplemented with blue leds to achieve a kelvin temperature somewhere in the 12,000k-20,000k range. Add in a few 390nm-405nm UV leds for flourescence, mount them all to a massive heatsink with a few fans and drivers and it should be BEATUTIFUL! :D

Laserboy Thanks for the suggesting Jayrob and igor, ill ahve to talk to them! Those Cree Q5's would be perfect!!

Oh cool, that sounds pretty sweet. I was thinking little fish tank! That would explain it.
