I'm in the market for a Viasho 1W+ 532nm greenie lab laser. If you have one or can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You are on the right hunt my friend. I have owned 2 and they were both the best lasers I have ever owned. MAD POWER. It was doing around 1.4 Watts.

Is there anywhere in the US that you can get them? Is Optotronics selling Viasho's still?

Optotronics is a distributor of Viasho products and jack would undoubtedly be able to get you a nice 1 watt viasho lab laser. They run $2050 on his site.

I saw that video, that thing was crazy, only took a few seconds.

Edit: Ooh, look at that, 400th post

Nice video. I just bought a 2W Viasho from Frank @ Viasho. Cut me a great deal on it, nice warranty, and seems like a very good laser for my needs. By the way, my needs are pretty much in the air now, but no one can have too many lasers in my opinion.

You inspired me to buy one as well. I sold the one in the video months a year ago. I just bought a 1 watt. Not Viasho though. Hell of a deal. $680 plus $40 shipping.

That is a great deal! If that's the GXP-1000 that was on eBay a few days ago, I had one of those once and ended up selling it for no particular reason. I found mixed reviews on the laser recently, but the one I had seemed to function well. I didn't put a lot of hours on it, but I tested it with a calibrated Ophir and it was hitting 1.1W.

Yeah that is the one. I have purchased from them a couple times before. I bought 2 of the 100mW blue lasers and they both had NICE beam specs and after some minor tinkering put out 100mW. I have not seen any reviews of their green lasers so I am glad to hear yours tested up to spec.

Let me know how yours is when you get it. Heck I would probably buy a 1W for that even though I don't really need it. $680 is cheaper than most 500mw greenies. I've been trying to find the reviews I found a week or so ago on the GXP, but haven't found it yet. If I do, I'll send it your way just for review. I've found that most people that give bad reviews on a nicely priced laser just can't believe that a 'quality' laser could be obtained so cheap.
