WTB: Test Load (AKA "Dummy load") PCB

If anyone has test load pcb's they would like to sell I need two, one to set for blu-ray and one for red. Rckstr is obviously the best source, however is out of stock until 3/7/9 so I thought id see if anyone has extras lyin around! :-/

You can make your own with 6 1N400X diodes and a 1 Ohm resistor...

You will need to do a bit more reading to find the circuit in the posts.... :

Thank's Jerry, I will look around for the diagram now! May be a dumb question, but will it stay the same for a red diode and for a blue ray if I use the circuit your speaking of?

EDIT: That sure was a dumb question lol. So if I am correct, to test red's I use 4 of the diodes in series, and for Blu-ray's its the full 6 in series to test? Seems easy enough.....

Links are much appriciated I tried the radioshack website and am having a hard time finding the 1 ohm value resistors for some reason. Probably just another one of my brain farts.....

Anyway, for as much as you'd spend (or probably less) for the parts at Radioshack or a parts distributor, you can get my Test Load kit. If you can wait until next week for it, you can get it... otherwise, you can get all the stuff you need from Radioshack:

Hello all.
I am relatively new to this forum at least in posts.
I am building a dummy load for both red and Violet LD drivers. I need a little clarification on the number of diode to use.
If each diode has a forward voltage drop of .8 volts, shouldn't the required number of diodes be 4, for red LDs, instead of 3 as in most of the posts on this forum?
Being 4*.8 =3.2 volts drop. Or are the red LDs voltage drop 2.5 volts instead of 3 volts?
Any help will be appreciated.
