Hi all. I trust we are all great today? Or, at least doing pretty OK today?
I hope that is the case.

I would like some insight if possible please?
Does any of you fellow members know where I can buy high power 12mm DPSS 532nm modules?

Now when I say "high power", I am really talking about the best I have seen which is about 175-200mW.

I am aware that I can easily get my hands on some solid ~100mW units, and they are pretty much everywhere. Heck, I even own some super cheap 5mW ebay pens that meter at ~80mW average. Those pens are very very nice for the price.

The reason I know these modules exist, is because of the Optotronics pen model here:
https://www.optotronics.com/proddetail.php?prod=Opto175

I really do trust that the Optotronics pen (simply because it is Optotronics) actually has been selected from a high performance binned stock and truly does output 175+mW.

So, I don't really want to pay that $$ amount for the Optotronics product, but if I can get the 12mm module by itself from a reputable seller that I can rely on the claimed output I would very much like to integrate that module into my own slimline build.

I hope you members are able to help.
Thanks in advance.
Mike.

What kind of power do you want? 200mW is about the limit you're going to get out of a 12mm module.

Typically the 300mW+ modules are in a 22mm package

Hi Bob.

Yeah ~200mW is pretty much what I will be happy with.
I know there is literally nothing more to be had, power wise, at that 12mm form factor.

So, yeah.

To get my hands on anything between 175-200mW I will be as satisfied as a fattened pig rolling in mud.
It is silly to expect any more power than that.

I just want to know where can I buy?

I have also very seriously considered the idea of utilizing an existing ~100mW module and overdriving the diode or maybe even replacing the pump diode and diode driver to see if I can squeeze more power out of the module. But I know there are a tonne of alignment headaches with that plan, so I would rather avoid that method, if I can get some nice results with less pain.

1) You won't get 200mW out of a 12mm module, and 2) all 12mm modules are exactly the same. Don't waste your money on one labeled "200mW", just get some for 5$ from fasttech.
