And….

If anyone has a 473nm DPSS pointer or module for sale please let me know.

Hi Encap!
O i didnt realise they still might sell them!

Still If anyone has a GLP they would like to sell, or a 473nm DPSS module, please PM me :)

Thanks all!

The CNI web site once again shows their classic iconic laser pointers as available after not being offered for a long time/several years.
The web site lists GLP-473 as well as PGL-III- M and C 473nm pointers if that is of any help.
Email them asking if ask current price, shipping cost, and delivery time.
In the past the only shipping choice they offered by CNI was FedEx at a high price--$75 which was prohibitive enough to stop a lot of sales other that diehard had to have sales. If it is still Fedex it has to be higher 10 years later. Not sure how much.
See: https://www.cnilaser.com/PDF/GLP-473.pdf

See all CNI pointers here: https://www.cnilaser.com/pointer_portable_laser.htm

Edit note: I will post this as a new thread so everyone has a chance to know about same.
I asked CNI, apparently they still won’t sell Pointers due to FDA

This was their email back -

Thanks for your email.

I am sorry that FDA doesn't allow us to sell the laser pointers & portable lasers since 2015
.

So not sure why they show up again on the website??

Bump….

Looking for C6 hosts from survival lasers, happy to pay a premium

Please PM if you have any your willing to part with.

Cheers

You should ask them why other companies can ship to the US without issues, but they can't. 😂As far as I know, many companies—such as Wicked Lasers—have currently stopped shipping to the U.S. due to FDA regulations. However, there are still plenty of sellers who continue to ship to the U.S., like Sanwu; they simply don't care about the FDA.

Your question makes a retarded chimpanzee look like a genius. It is an absurd question.
CNI doesn't know what or why other companies do what they do and even of they did they would not discuss it outside of within CNI. There is no need for CNI to care either. lol

Very obviously the risks are not worth the benefit to CNI. Violating US FDA and EU laser laws, rules and regulations would jeopardize their actually important business interests.
Pointers were never a big part of their business and now are even less with USA and EU legal restrictions on maximum output power of consumer pointers---5mW for USA and 1mW for EU.

CNI will not disguise or smuggle pointer shipments with false customs declarations. They have too much to loose if they did that like other Chinese manufacturers and resellers. They have a large significant laser and related business that does not depend at all on sideways selling of pointers to laser pointer enthusiasts or to iffy laser pointer kooks.
" Founded in 1996, CNI is the leading manufacturer of lasers, spectrometers, power meters and optical systems in China. Every year, about 20,000 pcs CNI products are delivered to more than 8000 customers around the world. " ~ from CNI web site.
Scroll down on the Company page and look at their typical important customers list on their web site: https://www.cnilaser.com/profiles.htm
