wow..

Yesterday I was shining the laser around in my living room.
Then I though shining it on 2 mirrors in the corner of the room would give a nice effect.
The mirrors are placed in a 90 degrees angle from each other.

First I tried it with the goggles on but of course I didn't see anything.
Then I tried it with my 1mw red to determine if there was any reflection coming back at me which was not the case (I thought).

Finally I did it with my 98mw green and I saw that 2 beams were reflected back towards me hitting the wall behind me just above my head.

I was a little shocked but I've learned that you cannot be carefull enough with reflective surfaces   :-[

Hmm. I've heard too many horror stories to take chances with laser safety. Plus I'm a first aider. I do safety. Anyway, with whatever laser I get I intend to get goggles too.

Senkat's GIF is normal if you look at it in IE7 but I now know your using Mozilla Firefox. Search it you will find topics related to the speed of animated GIFS.

Every time I read something like this, I feel like not buying a laser.

Then I go and look at the pics of what it can do, and I want it more than ever.

Damn cognitive dissonance!

To the original poster:

I don't know how old you are, but you've got some growing up to do mate. I assume that you're probably going to take more care from now on, but just in case the message still hasn't gotten through:

WEAR YOUR GLASSES!

Lol. I'm not trying to single you out or anything. It's just that you're doing pretty hardcore damage to your vision. It's painful just to read about it.

Wear your glasses. Seriously.
