No you don't.  It is not "secure" enough for connecting laser diodes.  A momentary disconnection while the laser is powered up will kill your diode.  Use good solder joints.

Yea i have to agree with dave on this one.

Its looks realy messy and its just beter to solder then correctly and use crimp tubing to isolate the legs

Agreed... that is not what you need...
That stuff is made of carbon... and as anyone knows carbon acts as a
resistor even if it is a small resistance... Solder on the other hand does not..

Also it states that you need to wait overnight for this stuff to dry...
Soldering is more secure... less resistive... ad a lot faster... :
