Should i buy the wickedlaser lasershades or the ANSI certified Laser goggles from laserglow?

Re: WL lasershades or Certified gogles from Laserg

come on people, i asked a question and nobody is helping?

Re: WL lasershades or Certified gogles from Laserg

Well, does anyone have both sets of goggles?

The WL Lasershades may not be 'certified' but heaps of people have them and they have been proven to be more than adequate at protecting eyes from lasers.

The laserglow glasses have a much higher OD. Your 30mW will drop down to 0.003mW or something ridiculous. Higher OD offers more protection, but you still want to see the laser, especially for hobby use! Unless you have like 500mW+ lasers, the LaserGlow ones are overkill. WL LaserShades would be the better option in my opinion.

thank you! seriously, i would have had no clue which to buy!

Re: WL lasershades or Certified gogles from Laserg

does this change your opinion on which ones i should get? i will most likely be using the green lasershades for my 140mw blu-ray

Re: WL lasershades or Certified gogles from Laserg

Nah, that should be just fine. Obviously the LaserGlow ones will be better, but my LaserShades for green work quite adequately against my blu-rays.

Are the green lasershades certififed for 405nm light?

OEM has a goggle (AL2 or AL3) that is designed for all of violet, blue, and green.

Re: WL lasershades or Certified gogles from Laserg

They aren't certified for 405nm light, but I have personally tested it with a 60mW blu-ray, those exact goggles and a power meter.

Shining through the lasershades drops the output power to well below 5mW, they seem to be very effective.
