Ok i just picked up a Photonic Disruptor and i was taking a look at the specs and i noticed this...quote "will temporarily overwhelm a threat's visual senses without causing permanent eye damage. "

How can they say that. this cant be true(100mw+) safe for the eye???really?

If you focus the beam to a really wide "flashlight type" beam it might not damage your eyes I guess. Seems irresponsible for them to print something like that, I hope nobody has tried that unsuccessfully.

Although if I had somebody coming at me and all I had was that laser, I would go straight for the eyes

You should warn them first. Besides... can't throw a punch?

Well yes, but I don't think I would bring one to a fistfight. I was thinking along the lines of mugging at gunpoint.

ya after watching a video on the laser it shows a setting for a big wide beam..if someones coming at me wrong there getting a direct beam fallowed by a flurry of punches and kicks..haha. the idea of a safe laz did sound cool tho.
