Will you guys help me decide

I want to either buy a 5mw 589nm laser or make a pretty sweet 12x 405nm burner in a jayrob host with the hot option and everything so I dont screw it up while trying to make it :na:

But some questions are

- can you actually see the 589nm beam quite well

-do you think the 589nm is really worth the price

- do you think I should just stick to a bluray?

Well... 589nm is close to the eye peak of color sentivity (can I say like that?)
If I remember right, the peak is at 555nm

So it appears ~ as bright as green 523nm laser.
Remember, those lasers are very expensive, and true 5mw 589nm is not really bright.

But its way more beautiful than blue imo...

Choise is yours

go with the blue ray, learn to build, then go for the 589.5. You'll appreciate it more when you know how it's made.

Yeah, build some other... cheaper lasers until you're familiar with the safety and fragility of lasers. Then save for your yellow, you'll appreciate it more and you'll have gotten all the "must burn crap" out of your system.
