Hello LPF,

I am going to purchase this: 100mW 532nm Green Laser Module (3V 11.9mm) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme or this https://www.fasttech.com/product/1083000

I already have a 1mw Pen Style Green Laser Pointer (standard no-brand).

Then I was going to take out the module from the 1mw green pointer and replace it with the 100mw.

I saw it in a tutorial here. It looks to simple to be true... styropyro

Basically he takes the old module out and screws the silver cap on the new module.
Then on the new module, he desolders the red and black wires.
Finally he desolders the spring off the old module and solders it on the new one and puts it back in the housing!

Would this work? and if it does how effectively.

btw sorry for double posting within 5 minutes...

you really didn't need to start a new tread you could have continued on the old thread with this info. and as for this working probably not because those cheap pens are pretty much sealed up tight. i've always had to cut them down the middle to get the guts out. if this is what you want to do then buy a empty laser pen host and go from there.
