Will this JDSU 2213 work with a 2114-type PSU?

Hello folks!

I recently discovered an argon head, 2213-150ML YW type, on eBay.
Here's the link: JDS Uniphase Laser Head 2213-150ML YW, made in USA | eBay
I'm considering purchasing it as an upgrade to my current argon, which is a 2214-40MLA head with a 2114 type supply.

However, I'm not sure if a 2213 head will work with a 2114 supply (max current 10.6A). Can anyone fill me in on this?

Thanks

IIRC, no, the 2213 heads don't work with the 2214 power supplies. The 2213 head is a larger/higher power version of the 2214 and has a higher tube voltage (current rating too?). I believe they need a matching power supply that requires 230VAC.

Edit: Yeah, just double checked, looks like the 2213 head needs the 2113 PSU due to the higher tube voltage.

yes. they're similar, but not the same. Much like the omnichrome 532/543/643 heads. They're similar physical size, but one requires the higher voltage in order to function. they share the same supply, but in a different setup in order to accomodate the electrical differences. There is a special supply just for the higher power series argons, which I also add, need substantially more cooling IIRC.
