Will these two parts fit together nicely?

once i receive said items i will post back here to let you know if it fitted nicely and/or what work was required.

thanks all :D
Please do, I'm very interested in the results.

True.. There's a reason my hosts generally aren't $20 like everybody elses heh. Mine tend to be more than just metal slugs with 12mm holes bored through them.. Cutting fins and threads takes a lot more time, so therefor I have to charge more.

But I aprove. High quality - high price.

Myself, I like to go with middle compromise. My 12mm hole hosts are bored with plain 12mm drilling bit and set screw is as simple as it gets.

But price is accordingly low-ish.

And since new order just went through, I am beggining to slowly reduce the prices of sinks, so those at Radiant will be slowly dropping by dollar or two every now and then.

now just re-reading these comments,

the 75mw is the 'cheap' kind of module? so it will have a shorter life-span and wont produce a fine beam? as to what qumefox said? confused there.

or its better to have the 'screw-part' on a module, as that shows better quality?
e.g. 50mW 532nm 3.0-3.7V Green Laser Diode Module | eBay

im now debating which one to get :S

That second one you posted is an entirely different kind of module. My comment was just for the totally cylindrical one like the first one you posted a link to.. Not the ones with external threads on the front.. Ones like that first one.. Totally cylindrical, with the diode side that looks exactly like that.. The better quality higher power modules will have an additional section in the middle where the pump focusing optics are..

And no I didn't mean they'll have a shorter life or not produce a good beam. I just meant that the 'cheap' ones usually just have the crystals butted up against the IR diode.. instead of having the pump properly focused for maximum efficiency. They work.. They just won't be capable of much more than 50mW usually using a sane amount of pump.

thanks for clearing that up, guess it just comes down to how much i want to spend, and what power i want.

i'll decide when my money clears :D

cheers for the help.
