Will 2x 3v CR2 rechargeables work with a rckstr and PHR?

Won't work. Rkcstr has a Vf of like 2.3V, and the PHR is like 4.5V which totals roughly 7V. Your batteries will provide 6.

Edit: I should have been more specific. You could use the 3.7V ones, but you linked us to the 3.0V ones. There's two kinds of CR2's, so be careful as to which ones you buy and obviously make sure you buy the appropriate charger if you use the 3.7V CR2's. I own about 11 of those batteries and they put out 3.3V max when charged.

got it- I already ordered some of the ones I linked, so I canceled that, I hope I get a refund soon, but I think I found some on ebay. it says 3.6v, but I'm guessing it's the same thing. $22 for 4x 3.6v CR2s and a charger. I think they're the ones that actually go to 4.2v.

Nah, the 3.6V's go up to 4.2, much like the 10440 batteries and the other Li-Ion's were used to.

will these work? Ultrafire CR2 Charger + 4x 3.6v Rechargeable Battery - eBay (item 220536952959 end time Jan-17-10 20:42:29 PST)
it says the dc output is only 3.6..... could I get a link to some cheap batts at a good voltage and a charger?

Taken from the auction...

"The voltage of full charge & empty condition is 4.2v & 2.75v respectively"

So yeah those will work. However the item description also states that you're going to need a spacer to charge the CR2's with that charger. To me that's a pain in the ass but I guess everyone is different.

"Included 1x Charger, 2x Spacer & 4x CR2 3.6v 600mAh rechargeable batteries."

I think I'll go for it. thanks!
now I just need to get more $$ into my acct and hope for a refund from DX ¬¬

Just don't lose the spacers :P

I hate losing the most insignificant things that allow devices to work. I had to wait 3 weeks before I could use my GPS one time cause I lost a screw that held in the back panel

Should have tried jamming a piece of aluminum foil in there for the time being...

that let it turn on, but didn't keep it waterproof. A gps you can bring camping is a good idea, my friend's dad's garmin literally saved his life twice, he was skiing like 30 miles from the nearest road, and during the night it snowed feet and erased any landmarks. Without the gps, he would have died. even with the sat-phone, they never would have been able to find him.

Ooo, I thought you meant like the ones for cars.

nope, it was an old magellan which has since gone crazy (it was seriously like it was trying to piss me off) which has since broken and been traded in for an explorist 600 (lots of features for its time) which now has a broken charger ¬¬

There are MANY diferent lengths of rare earth magnets available to do this job. Plus, if you have a small bit of metal in the area (on just about anything), it is pretty tough to loose a strong magnet ;)

Peace,

DX has lots of these useful magnets. They are excellent as battery spacers, both in a charger, and in a host where the battery seems loose. They will stick to lithium batteries as the casings and positive tips are magnetic.

Maybe these will help:

Ultrafire 3.6V 880mah Protected Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery RCR123A CR123A 16340 CR16340

Ultrafire WF-138A Lithium-Ion CR123A Battery Charger

I'm a bit confused between the 600mAh and the 880mAh though.
