Daytime picture darkened up so you can see the beam pattern, this was across my yard about 50 feet. Might be able to slightly improve, but I'm pretty happy with the $5 investment.

Found a replacement lens on ebay for about $5 shipped. Updating thread in case anybody needs one in the future.

Just search ebay for "Collimating Coated Glass Focusing Lens for 405nm Violet/Blue Laser Diode 3Layers"
It's fully assembled and has correct threads.

My beam is perfect and I can burn things now!

NIce $5 fix!
