I just discovered these 'Wicked Cap Set' from wicked lasers, they sound pretty awesome, for turning low powers into higher, I guess like a magnifyer glass effect........ any way, Do you all use them on some of your lasers ? Will they seem to fit on non wicked brands, such as Dragon lasers, etc..... most smaller lasers as long as the caps unscrew

the wicked caps set is just what you described it as, there is a flat lens which is simply for protection of the laser and a lens that focuses the beam to a fine point to aid in burning. as long as your laser is the same diameter as the cap set you buy they would work, but i think it would just be easier to get a regular magnifying glass

Yeah it's just like a magnifying glass, but easier and its more practical to use. The question is if its worth buying you can just do your own. But it sure looks nice!

I just received mine that I bought using WB's and it fits once the sticker is moved. I have no issues with it, seems to make my already ~115mW laser way beastlier! ;D

Good move Rhith at least you cashed them in first before your amazing RAMPAGE ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

;)
I made sure I had gotten my tracking number and the stuff was out of their warehouse before I stirred up trouble.
Thankfully I got the right items in my order this time! ;D

for $60+(including shipping) two lenses, on flat and one that has a focal length of Only 2 1/2 inches from the lasers apreture, is not worth it...and no I have not bought a set, to dicsern this... but have made focusing lens-caps of my own, with far greater focal distances.... realy, if I wanted something that could ONLY burn 2 inches away from said 'burning-device' I would just buy a bic-lighter for under a buck.
the only time I think those lenses might have any value is it the lenses they come with could easily(meh easy is realtive to a degree) be exchanged for other/better/different lenses....which I had asked thier live-help about and been told they had no idea.... then e-mailed them, and some mumhambi fellow answerd he had no idea..... then to e-mail again, and have thier 'andrew' reply that No, no other lenses could be put into the cap set to exchange them for a lens of your own..... so all in all.... it looks pretty(the cap set) but $60+ for something I have already made, with a better focal length, for less then $5(far less actually, just lazy in trying to remember what was scavanved for free ;) ) , But Not worth more then $15(thier cap set) with shipping included...because two thumb-nails worth of aluminum and glass(or plastic?) is Not worth $18 in shipping lol

**Thats Yogi's and My two cents'es'es'es ;)

I made something similar from a piece of plastic tubing and a small lens and it didn't cost a bean ;D ;D ;D ;D

And this is why I only got mine in a large order so for $28.69 I got about $180 worth of stuff after shipping! ;D

;D You CAN take apart the cap sets if you wish to! ::)
Just did here's a picture for those who are wondering.

Thats interesting to know Rith... ;)
Just another facet to point out about How 'wonderful'(note the sarcasm) WickedLasers CustomerService is..... no one knew there, knew that the lenses could be replaced, is so a customer wished to buy the cap-set and do so... In fact the Last Official word I got from Andrew(I think it was), was that 'No there is No way Possible to exchange the lense they come with....They do not even KNOW thier Own Products, and did not Care to even try and find the proper answer, to give to a long-time customer whom showed interest in thier product.... I am sort of glad they gave me fauly information now, or I Might have bought the cap set.....which all in all is a piece of expensive garbage... 2 1/2 inches of a focal distance My bic-lighter can burn at a greater distance, and is Ajustable :o ;D

Yeah they mostly say that so you will buy more stuff from them for different applications because they want to be the only ones! But I created another topic in which I actually slightly modified one of my caps.

I have an awsome lens I grinded down with the use of a dremel, from a magnifying glass... its focal-distance is 12 inches, and will aid in burning from closer and father... between 4-24 inches... the thing is it is about 2/3s of an inch thick, and I have been using plastic dowel-end caps to afix it into... now a lens that thick wouldnt fit into the cap-set at any rate hmm ?

possibly! haha. there is a good deal of space to mount it into if you got the circumference the right size. the whole chamber of the cap is threaded and it just have a piece that screws down into the whole thing so the possibilities are almost limitless! ;D
