Why don't you think DX is good?

I do. I bought the DX200 to burn, and it burns fine. For a mere $54 I can live with the power difference.  :)

I concur, it costs around the same for DIY parts! I personally been fighting temptation to buy the Dilda, but since I like building my own, it isn't too hard! :P

However, let's pretend that this was a WL 200mW red that you bought for (lets be extra generous) $200 and it only read 115mW. Then would you be upset? It will look really nice!

Anyway, I love DX, just not so much for their higher-powered lasers (I'd rather pay more for better IMO). You just have to be patient for the shipment.

In fact, their shipping is quite strange, but not yet any "real" problems.

I've ordered the dilda one the 8th may, received the 26th... But also ordered the "True 30mw" a week later, the 16th, and actually received the 25th... Still not received yet my CR2's charger ordered just one day after the dilda (9th)...

Not so bad compared to some ebay photo gagdets ordered from Hong-Kong, that have (at least I trust a little bit the sellers) been sent the 5th and the 6th may and not received yet...

Not yet disappointed by DX products, but only get these for some days, and not even weeks or months...

I'm still teetering on the edge with liking and disliking DX. I ordered a true 30 from them on the 22nd. It went through the steps: waiting for supplier, received, and then packaging. After that, it went to "processing- please contact us for updates." So I contacted them, and received a reply today saying that it was back ordered (!!). Then two hours later I checked the tracking on the DX website and found a tracking number. It isn't working just yet, but I guess it's on the way. I assume there's just zero communication within the different departments of the company. I can't wait to receive their product so I can review that!

edit: It is on its way! :D

Yes, I would be. When I spend $200 on a laser that I buy from a company that claims to be the "the #1 best selling laser company" of the world I expect a power specification to be matched or exceeded.

Well I've read lots of positive reviews of the dilda when it comes to burning. Claims from DX that the beam is visible at daytime and the power specification prove to be false, but still the laser burns like a charm. And that's what I wanted. I wouldn't buy a high powered greenie from them, that's why I placed an order for that one at OEM laser systems. 8-)

i mainly just use DX for parts. Buy a cheap low powered greeny and turn it into a rip-roaring 300mW red burner. (of coarse with some added heatsinks)
