Which laser should I get?

No, that was a bit out of my budget. I just bought the 30mw version and the red one. :D
 





I too am looking at the 200mw focusable red. I already have a green pointer at 10mw and was wondering how the visibility of the beam would compare. Are the T-REX 650nm goggles enough protection? If so I will definitely be picking up a pair as well.
Also since I'm on the topic of Lazerer's goggles, I have a ~>50mw 445nm laser coming between now and christmas, and was wondering if these goggles would be enough or if I should just spend a little more for these

EDIT: I have read here that lazerer's T-REX 532/445s might not be great, but they say that the OD is not listed, but I see that it is in fact listed on the product now. I do believe OD+5 is more than enough for a 200mw

Lol I want both thats why I got a 200mw Green :D :lasergun: quite pricey for greens though...

I find 405 and 445 to be superior for burning as they are higher energy wavelengths and also generally are capable of higher output powers. At short distances the multimode-ness of 445 is not very detrimental to its burning capabillity. A 405 at 1/2 Watt however makes the smoke spew out of a tiny hole like there's no tomorrow. Focuses to a pinpoint.

Which means they are also more dangerous...

The components to build a 445 laser can be cheap enough to be comparable to the greens and reds by this point.

My laser came on thursday, 220mw! I also ordered the goggles, but they didn't seem to make it. did you order goggles too by any chance?

EDIT: I sent Lazerer a message through their website asking about the goggles and Max got back to me on the same day explaining that the goggles come directly from the supplier and will arrive seperately, he also provided me with the tracking number for the goggles.
