My most powerful laser is a DX 70mW lab style unit doing about 85mW average after a pot mod. I need some bigger ones :-/

My MXDL is about 300mw. I have no LPM to verify it, but it burns a LOT better than my x-85. But the lens of it is kinda broken. :'(

I've got one class 4 laser - peaking at 20 watts, and another on the way - a YAG capable of at least a 2 joule (watt per second) pulse.

I think the highest power anyone here has is 60 watts, but I could be wrong....

201 - 500mW is a pretty vast range. My RPL 225 makes 248mW (I think more now since I adjusted the crystal alignment...)

The Hercules never ceases to amaze me every time I see it...

Mine is a 60mW Green from Optotronics, but a 200mW red is on its way (although it's from DX, so around 175 maybe?).

Hey, here's a question I couldn't find the answer to.

Is Laser Class determined by its average output or its peak output? Say if a laser has an average of 450mW, and peaks at 550mW, is it Class IIIb or Class IV :-/

Peak, it'd be a class IV. When a US company puts a mW rating on a CW laser, they have to state the absolute maximum output for that laser. That's why its common to see 5-50mW argon lasers with <500mW stickers on them - they have to call it a class IIIB anyway, and that saves them the gripe of worrying about overpower freaks.

For non-portable I've got a 60W CO[sub]2[/sub].
Portable power limits me to a pulsar "150mW"

I voted 26-50mw for my green laser pointer. I dont know what it can actually do, but the sticker says <30mw. I feel like such a noob. I guess I am though, but more lasers will come.

My most powerful handheld is my 960nm 4 watt c-mount laser powered by 2 x 25500 lithium. My most powerful lab type laser is my Coherent 60w 808nm watercooled brick.
