How high can they actually operate..the pdf says 440ma but how high do they actually go?

Why don't you burn one out and see? Maximum ratings are usually a good thing to follow.

I would say 440mA...:whistle:

The designer/manufacturer of a product is usually the
the person that should know the MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE
parameters for their product... IMO

But nothing is stopping you from showing the designer/
manufacturer that his ratings are in error by doing your
own long term Higher Power destructive tests...

True...coming from engineering I am aware that the people that design the circuit do know its specs. However theory on paper sometimes isn't always realistic and people can push these a little further, shortening the life, i know.

This is why i am asking if anyone has had any experience with these drivers themselves, so i don't need to find out myself! :scared:
