Hi,

Basically as per the title: What's the current draw off the DX 50/100mw Green?
Specifically this one: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10096

I'm interested in hooking this up to a Die4Drive, but the most current it can supply is 1A. So I wondered if someone could hook this up a meter to see how much current this guzzles (from the diode) not the PCB PSU, as I'm going to rip that one out hopefully.
Thanks!

Dan :-)

My DX100 drew .5 (died after 1 hour. Think pump diode died)and my DX50 draws .35
and it's got to have 3v or it's weak! Oh and it's a non true but it's a Newwish.

DX 100 808nm open case pump diode

Nd:YVO4/KDP .7*.7*2mm crystal glued with stuff like bathtub caulk.
End showing has 1064 and 532 HR and 808 AR coatings. The pump laser should be as close to this end as ?

'Tis probably a form of thermally conductive epoxy.

Notice the Newwish Logo on this DX 30mw copper mod.. The LD is kept tight with a lens nut & set with glue so it's a bitch to loosen.

Hey Laser Rod! Thanks for those awesome pics!
But I was actually referring to the 'labby' module, that has recently appeared on DX. I think yellow.sir.name bought one, but that might have been the red 100mw.

Thanks,

Dan :-)

Re: What's the current draw off the DX 50/100mw Gr

I may be the 1st to get that labby. I will post ASAP. After all I made DX change the specs. to 50mW because of the picture Newwish had.

6 more days till possible hands-on.

Yea, I love to post pics. More will come, higher qual. and higher mag. too. I got to show you guys I not full of..... I've been too lazy I know...

I'm hoping to get some some questions answered ............... TTL... Sparkle..... Hard seal....... pulsing.....

I'm buying some crystals for my pump diodes today...... Hope my black cloud...

Cheers,
