I was wondering what power a yellow laser (either 589.5 or 593nm) to see the beam during the day and during the night?

also who has some of the nicest pen lasers not necessarily yellow, i know cni has nice ones anyone else? i remember someone made a silver pointer once, maybe eugemus, misspelled name sry

thanks so much for looking and answers/input

20-30mW ($700-$800) for a decent beam in dark conditions. For well lit conditions.. No clue. I don't know anyone with that kind of budget for lasers. heh. I know the 100mW 589 PGL's were around $1500 in glenn's last group buy.

My 594.1nm HeNe is actually very visible by simply turning the lights off. If you want to see the beam with the light on though, you may need to get more in front of the incident beam, and light a match in the room if necessary. Only one match does the trick though.

Yellows are VERY visible. ;)
