(sorry for all the pictures, just making sure)
i got this from a friend a while ago.. i have a couple in different sizes... does anyone know what they were used for?

the driver i took out of 1 of the others says "lumberline laser LLPS4PCB 1999 REV. 1"

i doubt this has anything to do with "lumber'line" like it says on the driver, i was wondering if anyone knew where it might have came from
 





Small lasers like this are used as "guides" for saws. It may have indeed come from some type of "wood" saw and thus the "lumberline" name. They used to be HeNe's. Now most of them are low powered diodes. This is one of the sources of the used HeNe's we all love so much.

Is it just me or does the picture of the dots look like it's orange or yellow?
 
oooh.. ok thanks, makes more sence now. i think 1 of the others makes a really faint line and its the same color.

the biggest is about 8 inches long but its all the same, standard 120V
 
I still think the dot looks a lot more yellow than 635. I guess it's just the picture, as the beam pic looks like 2 red beams.
