What is the point of a pocket clip on lasers if...

They have not protective cover over the lens? After all a laser is no good putting in your pocket like a pen, due to all the dust, we all know the lenses can get damaged, or not able to be cleaned easily on some lasers of built up dust.

When they come with pocket clips, would it make sense they should have some cap? or cover to protect the lens from dust?

I would love a keyring laser, but whats the point if the lens get covered in dust in your pockets? Why don't manufactures include a lens cap? like some pens do?

Makes no sense at all?

If they are designed to fit in the pocket then where is the caps?

I see a keyring laser as a waste of time to only to get the lens covered in dust making it useless. These need dust caps over the lens?

has anyone made dust caps for their lasers they put their lasers in their pockets?

I think the clip thingy is supposed to stop the laser from rolling off the table and falling to the ground.

I think its there just for looks I would suggest a dragon case from wl they are cheap except for 21 for shipping damn wicked and there over pricing lol

I've had my infinity 95 in my front pocket at work  about 10 months now if not for the clip i'm sure it would have fallen out been dropped or broken .i use it at work ,not every day but almost -the cni types are very easy to clean if they get dirty i think i clean mine a time or two a month -i work at a poultry processing plant so its pretty dirty conditions -but if it didn't have the clip i wouldn't buy it  -so yes in my circumstance the clip is a must
