What do you do as a career?

I've been a YouTube partner since this April and have been making money from YouTube for a couple years before that. The job is absolutely awesome, only really requiring a couple hours a month of work and is a lot of fun.

Due to the terms of my contract, I cannot say how much I get paid, but it is definitely worth the time. If you are curious on what YouTube partners make, search some channels you know of on this site to get a general idea, the pay is usually towards the middle of the range they provide. If you wonder why KipKay is always posting so many giveaways, take a look at his income. :D I graduated high school last year, and decided to wait a year before going to college to continue working with YouTube and other similar business ventures to earn some money.

As far as skills go, you have to be creative and have a general understanding of how the internet works. You have to find ways to get people to watch your videos, as well as hold their attention. You don't need a fancy camera, video editor, or any real training in the area as long as you can come up with good content. The real skill required is coming up with the right words to use in your title, tags, and description.

To get started making money from YouTube, simply start making videos. They will give you monetization options after a bit, and the analytics tools will show you which videos of yours are better than others.

Along with what Google will pay you, secondary advertising options will be sent to you by companies and you can make money from these too. Plus, you'll get a lot of free stuff for reviews and testing as you get more views.

If you want to see my work, check out my YouTube channel. styropyro's Channel - YouTube I get over a million views a month on my videos, with most of my views going towards my laser content. I haven't been posting as many videos as I'd like due to health problems, but so far my lack of new content has not hurt my views or earnings.
