Nope, I still haven't finished it, it'd be imposible to put a driver in a mini mag. I'm going to use an aluminum project enclosure, I tried to use the plastic ones they had in radioshack, but they had a lot of extra plastic inside I didn't need, so I just went with the aluminum one. The mini mag isn't the only flashlight you can use, here's a thread on a dorcy flashlight you can use, the best part is that you don't have to build a driver for it, you just have to solder a resistor and that's it. http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1181635652
Dude here's an advice READ, I know it might be boring, but I don't think you'll make the laser right just by asking questions. Do some research, read, find out how the laser works, that's going to be the only way to do this if you want to do it right.
a.d.d jer something to keep in mind for the future. before i even bothered registering for this forum i spent at least a week just reading through posts to get all my answers. i dont think i had to ask a single question because everything i needed to know was already asked like 5 times. i also hope you bought more than 1 laser. i started off cautious and bought 5 cheap lasers after frying one i pulled from a burner i had to replace. a leg fell off one of the 5 new ones i bought so i have 4 left and have killed a total of 2. both could have been avoided though if my power supply i made was functional at the time
