I still recommend them to beginners sometimes because they have quality <5mw green pointers at an affordable price. However, I've looked at some of their other stuff and it left me wondering what kind of crack they're smoking.

https://www.laserglow.com/GPO

The Polaris is the world's most powerful visible-wavelength blue portable laser. Cutting-edge 447 nm laser diode technology brings power levels previously only possible using bench-top blue lasers at a fraction of the cost.

:scowl:BULL CRAP:scowl: False advertising like this makes the old wickedlasers look reputable. Only $1100 for the 1.2W "most powerful blue laser in the world"

I understand that their units are reasonably high quality being CNI made and all, but that's no excuse for lying and overcharging by such an amount. What happened to this company? I remember back when Laserglow was top notch in the laser community.

-It called marketing....
- Things like this happens when a business is around long enough and having lot's of customer, make them think anyone would choose them over competitors therefore they start spouting stuff that sound too good to be true Eg: W!cked laser

I have also thought the same thing. They seem to be living in their own little dream world with a serious myopia to what all is available out there.

They have been like that forever, maybe they bought too much stock when it was crazy expensive?

I don't trust a company that asks 295.00 for a 5mw in their bargain bin.

It seems they don't want our business, maybe they still do military/government contracts and want to chase off the public, I don't get any good vibes from that.

Pretty much. They have some really good stuff, but their marketing is westernized, and dated some five years ago. It hasn't been updated in forever. Long long ago it actually was accurate...but now it's just like...meh.

Exactly why I returned my 473nm Aquarius and am getting $500 back. Going to get a 473nm 100mW PL-E from JetLasers and still have $100 left over.

Good for you Hap, get your monies worth, and when you get crummy service vote with your dollars, I bet they don't want our business.
They used to be a big Government supplier, might still be?

Yeah when I saw their ads I legitimately thought "Wait this is a legit company... is my laser just seriously underspec or...?

I was just thinking about this thread haha! I simply cannot see how they can charge such high prices for their lasers(once again). I was fooled twice when I bought from them but no more.

I don't think they care much if we don't purchase from them since we aren't big money spenders.

Shame not all customers are treated equally.
