What Actually Damages Your Eye?

Pigs eye would be good stand in for human eyes right, have about the same iris size and cone and rod dispersion? and it would show worse case cause a dead eye cannot blink or close its iris? just to kinda put it back on topic this would be a good way to show the OP.
