Hi, I was a lurker just recently, trying to find some info on green or blue pointers. I just bot a cheapo <5mw 532nm at Frys because it was on sale for $19. I prefer to buy at local (or semi local) retail establishments because I can so easily test and return them in the parking lot. I know this limits the availability of high-end lasers so i will be branching out.

The other thing I'm interested in would be DIY higher power hand held lasers (200mw+ up to 1w+) I'm definitely a tinkerer.
