Welders Goggles and safety

Yep it was on as i stated in my post.
And for UV you might be ok (i doin't own any lasers under a 532)
The real point is that with lasers and welding hood's/googles by saying "it's ok" you'r setting someone up with a false sence of safety.
I did this with a 650 and 532 Nm lasers. and i do have some non auto dark hood's i use as well and have tryed them too.
I too thought unsing a hood would work just fine, tell i did a little more homework on this.
Also if you'r useing a dark lens you realy cant see much at all, witch is why a good set of
lasers glases are the best way to go.
And you might thank about the welding hood/goggles. you have a lenes on the inside and
a cover lens on the outside, and if you take a 2ed look at the photo's you can note the laser light also bounces back and forth between the lens and the cover lens like a mirror.

But if you realy thank it's a good ideal to use them as apposed to the proper safety glasses
your not doing you'r homework, and you cant just go out and buy a new EYE.
