I'm just curious; how much abuse have lasers taken? Do they show a lot of wear? Do you guys try to protect your lasers from such wear?

Anyways, this is my Wicked Lasers "Advanced" laser after two years of use.

I've always taken very good care of it, but it has still taken quite a few hits. (I suspect my "Spyder I Pro" will be better since it has an anodized coating, which this laser doesn't.)

I keep my lasers packed away in cases with desiccant when I'm not using them and I try to make sure that they are free from oil. Unfortunately, two of my pointers have some small areas where the rubber paint has started to come off; the hosts are pretty cheap.

If you want to reduce the effects of corrosion from sweat, you could try wiping them off with a damp cloth when you're done... Just make sure to stay away from the aperture.
