the pots can be found nearly anywhere online. not sure about the motors though. never bought any before.

I found several low rpm motors at thrift shops 1 to 3 $ each- they are made to be used on a BBQ spit to turn the skewrers= very powerful will turn a huge lumia wheel easily. also...Any old large electric clock with second hand has a one rpm motor. AND If you extend the spindle from a battery op. cassette player you get fairly slow on 'play' and faster on fastforward/ rev. And heres a photo of another thrift shop item altered to use with my laser show. $2 with charger and two batts.(one was doa)made by Black&Decker-Scum Buster(luv that name!)( have three FS mirrors on it and i guess it turns 180 rpm then slower as the batt goes down)- the other photo shows one of the spit turners as they come and a stripped down cassette player that i have added two mirrors for twin tunnel effect wired to run from wallwart also next to free at thrift shops-why buy batteries??....................... the only limitation is your imagination.....I could tell you all my secrets but then I would have to k---- just kiddin' m<(*u*)>m

thanks alot hakzaw i found tha the cassete player was too fast for my purposes but that bbq spit turner looks like a good idea. what effect does that thrift shop item give? thanks zheo also that should be handy for my twinkling effect.

I will be firing up the fogger sat nite to make some new beam shots so I will pm you when I add them to my photos- The scumbuster makes a beam that starts on the left -moves right - then ends and repeats when used alone- if you put other mirrors beside it then you get them going in both directions. DarkLasers.com sells my FS mirrors for me and he will be offering my dc spiro motors with mirrors epoxied on and liquid sky scanners too- should be available by Oct 1 .....m<(*u*)>m.....hakzazw

This was a quicky mount using a board and 2x4 the plastic 'lens' is a piece of a flourenent light fixture. 10mW geeen bottle laser and <100mw red module.=hak PS heres what I do-- I make lists of stuff I am looking for and then VERY nicely ask whomever is working that shop to Be On the Lookout- then check back from time to time-- there dozens of these shops around my area I add to the list as I discover more stuff that is cool to use with lasers. It also helps that I volunteer at a thrift shop that donates 100% to the local animal shelter- so I get first dibbs on such items. getting new items every day I work
