Voltage used in different laser diode






well, most people use 2 AA batteries for the dvd diodes, so thats ~ 3V, and then theres circuits and all that. :-X
 
Most people use around 3v, but that doesn't mean you can just hook two AA's up to your diode, unless you want it dead. Check out some of the circuits posted on here if you want to build a laser.
