I like scary places like Silent Hill :)
if you want violet color it must be shot Before sunrise or before darkness
On average, violet is perceived as blue in a completely dark place

414 nm is such a high energy wavelength in a pointer, awesome WL.

16x violet diode is all high weavelength !!!
I don't know why? 16x haa~
only 16x violet diode is too high. Another violet is not.. S06J 12x diode is 405nm ~ 408nm another violet diode also low wavelength

405nm 16x diode
16x single mode : BDR-209 Max 425nm
16x multi mode : Sharp 405nm 350mw Max 414nm

I have BDR-209 diodes as well as the S06J diodes but not this multimode, I want to build a pointer with one using a big 75 mm diameter collimation lens, that would bring the divergence down to something nice.

LOL..... True.
trying to cut White Styrofoam (foam board) 405nm is suppose to do pretty good with it. My 455nm will go about 1mm deep then t just melts it (does not cut it). May have a look at IR diodes too.
