That's not really an actual picture... It (the beam) could be bigger than that-they don't provide specs. And $85 for a <5mW red laser? IMO not a good deal.

^ But don't forget the price of the optics. There's got to be some pretty good lenses to get a laser that thin! :eek:

They claim the DOT is very small, not the beam. I suspect their "polarizing attachment" is simply the collimating lens. It seems little more than a mountable, focusable pointer.

Notice that the website is for machinists....this laser is not meant for laser hobbyists--> the expense is the fact that its precision tool for your mill.
