So there's a new material that has been made that is supposedly the blackest man made stuff. I wonder how well it would hold up to high power lasers as a backstop.

Sounds like they miniaturized the classical beam dump using material that already has decent absorption, and I'm guessing tuned length to provide attenuation of UV and IR as well. I still think someday nanotubes will be implicated in some sort of horrible disease epidemic. But I'm just jealous.
