We launched our brand new Valkyrie host a few days ago with the amazing new yellow wavelength of 573nm.
Now, we're bringing 7 more wavelengths to our polished steel host!

(638nm, 520nm, 488nm, 450nm, and 405nm)

What diode are you using to get 250 mW in the 488 nm range? All the Sharp diodes I binned are not capable of doing that.

They're sharp diodes - the new batches are just more efficient. Probably just a new iteration, it has been 6 years since these first became available after all

Our diode suppliers have been very opaque about what the diodes are exactly. Apparently it's a mixture of both being a new generation diode and specifically being binned on their side for the highest output, but the sources we work with are very 'internal' so it's tough to get all the answers. We have been able to get 270mW+ out of these with the right lenses though, they are dramatically stronger than other 488nm diodes we've seen.

There have also been some other anomalies with these diodes which I may make a post about soon...

Tinker a while back you mentioned coming out with lasers in a non pen style form. Specifically a larger size. Do you have an update?

Yes, it is multimode but it has decent beam characteristics (very similar to Sanwu’s high power 405s.)

Update: We've added one more wavelength for Valkyrie, 425nm!

This is a beautiful indigo color which also has the highest output of any of our Valkyrie units, at around 2 watts total.
