Uuummmm.. yea.. so whos gonna buy one?? lol

LOL, Apple fans! You might see a Saudi prince with one of those gold ones. I have a hard time paying $100 for something that only gets used to make phone calls with for 95% of its use.

Diamonds are silly. Prices are way too inflated for a pretty rock that can't be differentiated from cubic zirconia by naked eye.

I'd take a c.v.d. diamond over a natural any day. we can make them better than the earth, sorry mom

I would rather a diamond screen. :P
I've never understood jewelry. Why would I drop several grand on a band of metal that only has value because someone said it does? Thats money I could put to way better use.

Diamonds also have very good thermal conductivity. Even better than silver.

Diamond heatsink anyone?

Shhhh... :shhh: Don't tell LPF. People are already copper crazy enough as is.

Did you know that diamonds are EXTREMELY common and are actually worthless? There is tons of proof of their value online.

Diamond Engagement Rings: Biggest Scam in the World

Lol, I could see that...
Lasers for the rich and shameless!

Just like gold. Governments hold them to artificially increase the value. The value of gold would probably drop if Fort Knox was raided for the purpose or giving the gold away for free or cheap since the "market" would be flooded.

Haha, kind of true. But diamonds are a lot more common than gold.

Warren Buffett, one of the world's richest investors, says the total amount of gold in the world - the gold above ground, that is - could fit into a cube with sides of just 20m (67ft).

And I think gold is more widely used/has more uses than diamond.

Beryllium Copper is the most valuable metal IMO. Strong, electrically conductive, thermally... What else could you ask for. Oh and it doesn't cost a fortune like silver.
