Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS

They're horrible. Never letting anyone ship with them to me anymore. They sent my laser from the US to Amsterdam to Canada to Amsterdam. What a pain. Took a month while it was in Amsterdam already after 3 days.

I have never had this much trouble. The biggest problem I've had in the past was maybe being held up in a sort facility for a few days.
This one here was sent to the wrong delivery facility and sat for two days. From there it went back to the sort facility. So here I am thinking "cool it should be to me by the morning". WRONG. IT WENT TO CINCINNATI! WTF!
And all this right after I sent a package to Le Quack in Oregon that was delayed and took over a week. When he originally sent it to me it took three days.

Sometimes they farm out the shoipping to a secondary carrier such as CRST or Snyder trucking. The shipments get mixed up very easily and taken to the wrong destination. I know. I was given the wrong load a couple times myself. Its easy for someone to transpose the numbers on the paerwork or the trailor number on a load. Often a load is left in a remote dropyard for another driver to pick up.

^^ Yup, usps has a big contract with ups. A large percentage of usps mail winds up in the ups sytem, which does ship things bizarrely. I've seen packages going from one place in California to another place in cali here in the louisville hub.

I had stuff disappear off tracking for ten days(and it was 2 day priority). Always get insurance if it's something of value. My issues were a few months ago too so they've been worse for awhile now.

They seem hit or miss imo.

The thing with insurance is (at least in my country), you have to pay taxes if it comes from another continent. For a 200$ laser I had to pay the delivery guy 50$ or it would be sent back to where it came from. That's why I try avoiding insurance unless it's really necessary.
